The OMOTO 0812 Loose Jeans combine a relaxed fit with premium craftsmanship, made from 16oz nep denim for a unique, textured feel. The warp yarns blend short cotton fibers (27mm or less) to create an irregular, rugged surface, while the weft yarns are spun using the traditional “gara-bo” technique, giving a rustic, hand-spun appearance with airy breathability.

Dyed using 100% pure indigo through a meticulous rope-dyeing process, the yarn develops a deep, vibrant blue surface while keeping a raw core, ensuring crisp, high-contrast fades over time. Woven on a 1950s GL8 Toyoda Automatic Loom, the slow weaving speed and firm beating process trap air within the fabric, resulting in an authentic, uneven texture that enhances with wear.

These jeans are unsanforized but rinsed, maintaining their natural cotton texture while providing a comfortable fit from the start. Featuring OMOTO’s signature blue-green “MIMI” selvedge, a custom-branded sheep leather patch, and hidden rivets, they offer the perfect balance of tradition and durability. The herringbone pocket bag with washing record adds an extra touch of vintage character.
